Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Secureflo ("Secureflo," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of knowledge.secureflo.net, the Secureflo readiness assessment, the intelligence feed, and any related Secureflo products and services made available through this site (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Secureflo provides

Secureflo offers AI-accelerated security intelligence, regulatory tracking, and self-service security readiness assessments for business users. Output (questions, articles, regulation summaries, assessment analysis, and recommendations) is generated by large language models and provided on an "as-is" basis. The Service is intended to inform, not to replace, professional security, legal, or compliance advice.

3. Eligibility and accounts

The Service is intended for business users operating in a commercial or organizational capacity. By using it, you represent that (i) you are at least 16 years old; (ii) you have authority to provide the context you submit on behalf of your organization; and (iii) your use complies with applicable law. You must use a valid business email address. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit others to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Hold the Service's output out as a professional opinion without independent qualification.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or methodology.
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically collect Service output at scale or for resale.
  • Bypass rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
  • Submit confidential personal data of third parties, credentials, API keys, or trade secrets in free-text fields.
  • Interfere with the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service.
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or model.

5. AI-generated content disclaimer

All questions, feed articles, regulation summaries, Q&A responses, assessment analysis, scores, and recommendations are produced by AI. While we design prompts carefully and pass output through a citation verification step, AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inconsistent with the current state of law in your jurisdiction. You must independently verify any regulation, statute, date, statistic, or recommendation before relying on it for security, compliance, or legal decisions. Secureflo is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of AI-generated output.

6. No professional relationship

Your use of the free Service does not create an attorney-client, consultant-client, advisor-client, or fiduciary relationship with Secureflo. If you wish to engage Secureflo for paid consulting services (such as security assessments, incident response, fractional CISO, or training), that engagement will be governed by a separate written services agreement.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of all context, free-text notes, and answers you submit (your "Submitted Content"). You grant Secureflo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and transmit your Submitted Content for the purpose of providing the Service to you, including transmission to our AI sub-processor and our infrastructure providers. We process your Submitted Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Secureflo product, brand, code, methodology, prompts, scoring framework, and underlying model configurations are the property of Secureflo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The generated output you receive may be used internally within your organization and reproduced for board, investor, or auditor communications, provided Secureflo is credited as the source. You may not resell, sublicense, or repackage the output as your own product or service.

9. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee uptime, performance, or accuracy. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without notice. We may throttle or refuse requests we determine to be abusive, automated without authorization, or otherwise non-compliant with these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR NEEDS.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECUREFLO'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE FREE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO USD 100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR REGULATORY PENALTIES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Secureflo, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (i) your violation of these Terms; (ii) your misuse of the Service; (iii) your violation of any third-party right; or (iv) decisions you make or actions you take in reliance on AI-generated output without independent verification.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or expose us to legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property provisions) will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The parties agree to bring any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the mandatory law of your home jurisdiction.

15. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party service outages.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users or by a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms together with our Privacy Policy and any separate written agreements between you and Secureflo constitute the entire agreement.
